Things that would be nice in my lifetime

1. Losing 80 pounds.
2. Retiring at 50.
3. Watching a Chicago baseball team win a World Series.

For #3 ... I think you meant: "Watching a Chicago team MAKE IT INTO the World Series."

Cubs haven't been since '45, Sox since '59, so unless you've been lying about your age, you haven't even SEEN a Chicago world series, let alone a winning one. :-)

Of course, New York's been blessed by, at least, 38 Series appearances by a certain team who I won't flaunt in front of you, and that's not even including the Giants, Dodgers, Mets, etc., during their tenure in the city that never sleeps.

You have to set your goals realistic... start with "make it to the series" and move on from there. :-)

Well, if you get cancer and it can't be treated effectively, you could lose that 80-pounds.

Don't even joke about the whole cancer thing. I've got enough genetics against me in that sense.
