Album of the Week
I've decided (for no reason whatsoever) that I'm going to post once a week about an album that I think is either really good or something that describes my week in general. Let's see if I can get through April doing this.
This week's album.
Queensryche - Promised Land

See - this is what I am talking about...30-something, lost my kick-ass heavy-metal loving, spandex-mini wearing figure sometime in the mid-90s, one kid adopted (so far, working on #2), geek, worked for AT&T until aforementioned kid arrived, worked side-by-side with the networking guys (I was the geek who got escalated to go see the first person calling about a network outage to make sure the idiot had their PC plugged in correctly), toy-loving early adopter (men drool for my home theater setup), still listens to great music (I will be the ÜBER COOL MOM), with stacks of unwatched VHS in my kitchen (ok, they are in a box, not on my counter), and a home wireless network that goes down everytime I microwave a Hot Pocket. I could go on...LOL but now I am starting to sound like a geek-groupie. Oh! BTW...saw Queensrÿche in concert in the late 80s...a bit of a haze but I want to say Yngwie Malmsteen opened for them. I saw SO many concerts back then, they are sorta blurring together...
