Today, I get this lovely piece of garbage in my Inbox.

We need literally thousands of pro-family supporters to stand agianst the homosocialist agenda, and we need to do it now why we still have the right to excersize our right of free speech. If the pink nazi's get there way we will not be able to speak out against them much longer, we will have our free speech rights controlled by hate speech laws just like in Canada.

WHY : BECAUSE THEY HAVE GOTTEN WAY OUT OF HAND, AND OUR SOCIETY IS AT RISK OF COLLAPSE DUE TO THE TEARING APART OF THE FAMILY UNIT, AND THIER SIN BELONGS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, NOT IS OUR STREETS, AND OUR SCHOOLROOMS!!
As Americans it is our duty to this free republic we live in to stand and fight to maintain the freedoms we all enjoy. If you think this will not effect you guess again! In Scandanavian countries where homosexual marriage is legal, the true family unit is becoming extinct due to queer comi's radical agenda, and it will happen here also!

So I e-mail the guy who sent this telling him that I want no part of their little gay-bashing party. Guess I hit a nerve...

You are not on a list, you are on the protest warrior website, if you don't like recieving messages about operations, then remove yourself from protest warrior website.
As a conservative activist, I am not trying to bash anyone, this is serious business, our nation is about to self-destruct from within as the enemies of faith and freedom fight to trample the very fabric of our culture, the real family unit! This is not about bashing people, it is about standing up and protesting a very dangerous sub-cultural satanic movement aimed at destorying our freedom to speak what we believe openly, and freely.

Maybe you should wake up and smell the coffee!!

While we love the homosexual person, we hate thier sin!!

The sin of homosexuality is destroying this nation from the inside out, and you sir by not standing up, and refusing to fight this evil, are giving aid and comfort to the enemies of personal liberty, and freedom.

Today in Canada they have passed laws that prohibit people from freely speaking out agianst homosexuality, and it will be coming to America if we don't act now!!

I used to really like Protest Warrior but apparently their list is now being pulled by groups that I want no part of. I obviously understand why people view the right as the "religious" right. Just don't count me on their team, OK?

Why would you praise someone who stomps all over that right the way "Protest Warriors" do?

Use your heads, people. Preserve your freedoms and rights. Don't let ANYONE walk over you or our constitution this way!

Brian - I agree with you that the anti-gay view held by _some_ Protest Warrior members is disturbing. I couldn't care less about the topic.

As for "Spotlight" who posted twice to these comments, I read through part of his page (too long to keep anyone's attention, I would guess).

He made some valid points about how some members of PW refused to debate with him and resorted to calling names.

I found it very interesting, however, that at one point he accused PW of editing their counter-protest films in a biased way and only showing interviews with the craziest people with whom they talked.

Seems to me that he did exactly the same in picking out the most inflammatory and biased responses to his posts for inclusion on his anti-PW page.

All in all, I support PW in their efforts to show the world and the public that people support the War on Terror, capitalism, etc. during those times when Major Media only covers the anti- side of the issue.

[I do not agree with everything that is said and done in PW's name, but if we only supported people and groups with whom we agreed 100% of the time, we would all slip into solipsistic narcissism.]

BTW, Spotlight, it's not illegal to protest protesters. Be respectful and try to avoid confrontation without giving up on your point is my approach and the approach of most of the PW folks I have met.

Brian - I'm sorry that the "religious fringe" has soured you on this movement. I only hope that they don't end up doing the same to me. =/

At least in the New York area, protestwarrior is almost completely made up of objectivist libertarians, and we abhor any gay bashing.

Protest Warrior Exposed AGAIN!!!

Well, by now you've already read "Protest Warrior EXPOSED!!!", but the sequal is out and it too is very enlightening.

In this sequel, they not only expose the Protest Warriors as computer hackers who commit illegal acts of cyber terrorism to silence Americans who don't agree with them, but they also provide absolute PROOF that the founders of PW, Alan in particular, are blatent liars. Boy, do they have mud on their faces after this one!

Trampling on Consititutional rights? Silencing dissent IS trampling on your dissenter's rights to free speech and assembly! ProtestWarriors have every right to be out in public and every right to engage you in a conversation. Your emotions are your responsibility. You can't control them? ProtestWarriors are not to blame!

i'll second what the pw from the nyc chapter said. it is very much the same in chicago. we are very center-right. in fact, plans are in the works to counterdemonstrate "god hates fags" demonstrators who intend to misrepresent the right at the pride parade this summer.

generally speaking, pw was only meant to counter international answer and the wwp/rcp/iso/ism left. it's better that way, because, beyond that, the libertarian and conservative right are often at loggerheads about cultural issues. it's been my privelege to associate with some very thoughtful religious conservatives who can distinguish between gays as a group and gay leftists, but when i step outside to the next best organized thing in town, i find myself having to defend what i feel to be rather consistant conservative principals that recognize the rights of gays, the struggle of black americans and my supposed weakness on other cultural issues.

i attribute this to the way the two factions dovetailin a way that unburdens each the other of paralell responsibilities: you ask a libertarian about cultural issues and you get "duhh, live free or die!", you ask a conservative about economic issues, you get "duhh, take a bath, hippie!"

you don't see this on the left: each faction presents a wholistic platform while nonetheless retaining a shared general focus and their associations with one another.

perhaps the solution for peeople like us is for the libertarian wing of the right to really grind on the issue of american culture -- have answers about the family and such --- and in doing so, perhaps force the conservative wing to think about economics a bit more.
