Update on Judi Noe

Judi's lawyer changed her plea to "Guilty by Reason of Insanity" today in court. No major shock here.

Yesterday the prosecutor in Allen County entered into a plea bargain with Judi Noe in the death of my granddaughter. Under the Indiana sentencing guidelines she can only get a maximum of eight years in prison. I am very distraught over this and the incompetent way this was handled by the State of Indiana, this women should have gone to prison for life or gotten the death sentence. The justice system and the people in child protective services failed Brieana and us miserably. I would hope that the people of Indiana would be outraged also and demand that something be done to protect the children or at least punish the offenders of these unspeakable crimes against our children. My son had no control over this decision to plea bargain just as he had no control over what happened to his daughter. The system is designed to protect the guility and I for one and getting fed up with it. My only hope now is that Judge Surbeck can see past all the claims of insanity and see the horrible treatment Brieana received and give Judi Noe the maximum that the laws allow, any less than the 8 years allowed would be an insult to Brieana's memory.

My heart goes out to you. You are in my thoughts as well as your son. Shame on the judge in this case! I don't understand how he sleeps at night.
