What to get six kids for $100
My in-laws have asked my wife and I to pick out for all of my kids (ages 18 to almost 2) one big present they can give to them for Christmas. We've gone over everything from gift certificates to race tracks, but can't find anything that would really appeal to three boys and three girls. Any ideas?
BTW, they already have a DVD player and a computer to use. I'm trying to think of something interesting and that will be used pretty often.

Your in-laws need to change their dose.
You can't find a single gift that will appeal to both sexes over that wide a range of ages. Period. If you find it, the answer will be found only by combining the contents of the Ark of the Covenant with a scrap of paper stashed inside the Holy Grail.
Seriously. It's not possible. Even things like "a day out at $AMUSEMENT" are not going to have universal attraction probably, unless you allow the older ones to go their own way inside the park.

I told my wife if they wanted to up the ante a bit we could theoretically find a used pinball machine or something for that price. However they are dead set on $100 or less. I'm guessing they are wanting us to get a ping/pong table which will take up an entire space in the garage and leave another car outside for winter...
