Terri Schiavo
I've gotta chime in since everyone else on the planet, ad nauseum, has done so.
After reading the extensive medical evidence, the reports of the treatment of Mrs. Schaivo, and finally the report from the Guardian Ad Liteum, Michael Schiavo is doing the right thing in letting Terri die.
Terri's parents are desperately holding onto an unfounded hope their daughter will one day return to some form of her prior self, which has been proven over and over and over again as being essentially impossible.
Anyone who holds onto some semblence of an idea that Terri will get better or will even have some sort of cognative function are working through a huge case of denial.
Time to move on people....
(Also just to note, if I end up in a state where my brain looks like Terri's, you have permission to shoot me).

Let the woman have peace, and let Michael move on with his life. The parents need to stop holding on and actually grieve the loss of their daughter. If she lives much longer, we'll wonder which dead person has been alive longer - Terri Schiavo or Keith Richards...

There's always the Abe Vigoda death watch....wonder if they will have one for Terri in some church somewhere.

Michael should divorce her and move on. Parents should be allowed to take care of her until they finally come to their senses, and the government should butt out.
Personally I think allowing someone to veg in a coma for 13 years is bloody ridiculous, and I'm glad I'm not making the decision.

Dammit will you people stop making sense. :-)
It's politics, pure and simple. I'm disappointed in both Bush's acting like idiots, although I'm quite sure there are other actions they could take in order to get this done and over with.
What's going on right now jsut seems for show....
