When asked a question about why you are protesting, make sure you have a clue what you are talking about.
"We really want to stop Bush and Blair from going around killing babies," she said. "Our objective is to force the U.S. out of Iraq and Afghanistan."
But what if a U.S. withdrawal means the return of the Taliban and Saddam Hussein?
"Anything would be better than American Imperialist rule," she snapped back."
I guess this stuff is just more "Right-Wing Lies".
"I am more worried about the conduct of American police than I am about the claims against Michael Jackson..."
The words of a mom who sent her kids over for an "all expenses paid" week in America thanks to Mr. Jackson at his Neverland Ranch. Unfortunately they were supposed to be back three weeks ago.
No, I'm not saying Michael Jackson did anything with/to them. But if my kid was supposed to be back three weeks ago with no call, letter, fax, e-mail, or carrier pigeon telling me where they were; you can bet that I would be going nuts instead of "...considering calling Norway's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.".
Wait a minute here, your kids were entrusted to this man, a man who is currently waiting to be charged with "multiple counts of child molestation" and you are afraid the kids are going to rap on your sons noggin's with billy clubs?
What do you have to take to be that screwed up? :-)

The pet-worshiping nuts at PETA are extorting Clay Aiken over a comment he made in a Rolling Stone interview. First of all, I don't read Rolling Stone, second I couldn't tell you a Clay Aiken tune if my life depended on it, and three I could care less what this man does.
But PETA keeps pissing me off.
PETA is apparently going to run an ad campaign with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and the slogan "Get Neutered, It Didn't Hurt Clay Aiken". Did Clay whack a few kittens before he went on American Idle? No. Did he have a factory killed turkey sandwich with a Vegan? No. This is what he said....
"There's nothing worse to me than a house cat. When I was about sixteen, I had a kitten and ran over it. Seeing that cat die, I actually think that its spirit has haunted me. I wasn't afraid of cats before. But now they scare me to death"
So PETA has decided to hold this threat over Mr. Aiken unless he does the following.
#1. Puts on a website an apology for what he said.
#2. Gives an Interview for PETA.
Hey PETA, here's my #3. How about his lawyers fry your ass in court for slander and sues you out of existance? Then they pick up the rights to your name and point your frigging website to a Smokey Bones Restaurant website.
Hey, it worked for $cientology....
Instapundit has a link over to Salon about the rise of Anti-Americanism in Europe.
Maybe I'll write more about that later....
My wife has a very interesting job. She bascially runs the CASA division for the county we live in and runs across some really interesting cases. Well today, one of her cases exploded and threatened to "Make her feel like she felt".
Without going into great details, my wife works with people who don't really take care of their kids too well. And sometimes that means the state has to go in and remove the kids. You get the general drift of the threat. I deleted the expletives (of which there were many) when this threat was made.
So today involved me running around, not letting the kids out of my sight, making sure they were inside someplace safe.
And people wonder why they have their kids removed from their care....

It's a simple enough question. In what parts of society does America out-perform the rest of the world?
I guess this all started from a quote on Derek's Blog from Jeremy when I responded that the domestic IT Industry was in trouble due to a cheap workforce in India. My response was that when it became cheaper to hire an Indian IT guy and a translator, the days of high-paying IT development jobs will disappear. To which Jeremy responded:
"Translator? Hah! They already speak better English than many Americans."
Over the past year as I've been reading through blog after blog, I have noticed a few things.
On the left, you will find where America has gone wrong. Jack-Booted Ashcroft Nazis descending from black helicopters to infiltrate and zombify the masses to unite under the New World Order of George W. Bush. Oh btw, QUAGMIRE QUAGMIRE QUAGMIRE!!!!!
On the right, you will find stories about where America has done something right. Armed soldiers carrying little girls books to school in Iraq just after their group took heavy fire from Saddam supporters.
On the left, you will find that Europe is mad at us because we don't take into consideration what pain our decisions cause. That our "culture" of fast food, brainless entertainment, and general mass consumption is destroying the world, and threatening years of social upbringing.
On the right, you will find Americans tired of those damn Europeans who are scared of standing up for freedom and democracy because you just know they don't want to lose all of those big oil contracts.
On the left, you will find anger, self-loathing, and elitism.
On the right, you will find obnoxious patriotism, pride, and elitism.
If you could take the values and ideals of these parties and put them into one person, what would you have?
On the left, you would have a person who can't stand what he does, and knows that he is smarter than those around him.
On the right, you would have a person who thinks what he does is right and just, and knows that he is smarter than those around him.
What does this mean? Hell, even I don't know. I do know that over the years I have seen what this country can do wrong and what this country can do correctly. Some people in our country think that we deserved 9/11 because we were so shallow in our countries views. And while they might be right on the "wake-up call" portion of that equation, I have yet to see someone justify the mass murder of almost 3,000 people that morning. I have also yet to see what Europe can bring to society as a whole except for sneering and good wine (ok, that was a cheap shot, I know). :-)
I guess when it comes down to it is this. America does screw up a bunch of things. But to think that we can't do anything right, and that we need the "world" to approve everything we do is beyond asinine.
Ignore this...
