More Asshattiness

All over the blogosphere, there have been people spasming all over themselves about Hunter S. Thompson's death. Don't count me as one of them, especially as the details of his death come out to the general public.

The 67-year-old shot himself in the head in the kitchen while his son, daughter-in-law and six-year-old grandson were in the house.

I understand that some people just want to die. I don't agree with it, and I think that in most cases suicidal thoughts can be cured/mitigated through proper therapy. But this asshole not only did it with his family in the house but his ex-wife on the phone as well. This wasn't the "final act of a giant who wanted to go out on his terms", it was grand finale to another "attention whore" whose prose has gone downhill since the 1960's. His last article was about shotgun golf with Bill Murray. Not exactly something people will be singing in bars for years to come.

Maybe it's because I'm getting old, but how the hell do people romanticize a frigging suicide? Suicide has always been a selfish way of dealing with you problems. I guess Hunter S. Thompson just wanted to go out on "his terms". Too bad his family and friends are the ones who are going to pay for it...

Future Psychopaths of America

Court: Man Can Sue Over Surprise Pregnancy

Today's lovely little diddy regarding psychotic parents comes to us from my old stomping grounds of Chicago in the case where a woman performed oral sex on a man and saved the sperm to father a child. Two years later, of course, mommy comes back with a paternity lawsuit and dad is forced to pay child support for a child who never would have been born from the actions the two of them took. Of course, the dad is suing for the "shock and trauma" from the event (which to him I say grow up, pay up, and use better judgement next time), but this sentence from the mother's attorney really struck a chord....

"There's a 5-year-old child here," Mirabelli said. "Imagine how a child feels when your father says he feels emotionally damaged by your birth."

Emotionally damaged from his birth? Isn't he going to be a bit more "emotionally damaged" when he finds out he was supposed to be a blowjob rather than a child. And how much of a loon do you have to be to perform a blowjob, then turn around and inseminate yourself to have a child? Better yet, what frigging gaul do you have to have to go and sue the guy for paternity two years after the kid is born?

Who wants to start a pool to when the kid whacks both his nutjob parents? I might just contribute to his defense fund... :-)

RIP - IRA

I f*cking love it....

Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness, the Sinn Fein leaders, were publicly named as members of the IRA's Army Council in an unprecedented move by the Irish government yesterday.

All of those idiots who were clammoring for Gerry Adams to come to the United States back in the 1990's, you can now insert your size 8 shoe into your mouth now; maybe even in another location as well.

See what happens when you lie down with terrorists, you f*cking wankers? Even though the vast majority of Northern Irish wanted to stay under British rule, your predecessors decided to not fight the terrorists withing. And oh yeah, look what got you.

Wonder how Bono feels now that he's been cozying up to a big f*cking terrorist all of these years....

Andy Summers is a Dick

This is addressed to the guitarists of the world...

Every try to figure out any Police song? Without cheating and grabbing the tab off OLGA?

My question is how such a little twerp can reach across five/six frets on a regular basis without dislocating a digit after each song.

And yes, I admire Andy as a truly awesome guitarist but it would be nice once in a while if he just threw the rest of us a bone and wrote a hit song that didn't involve excruciating pain. :-)

Good thing he's a doctor

Maybe he an perform his own "de-foot-in-mouth-ectomy".

Picked up from The Corner on NRO.

As for what Dean said to the black caucus, he kicks the GOP in the groin. "He surveys the crowd of 150 crammed into the room. 'You think the RNC could get this many people of color into a single room?' he marvels. 'Maybe if they got the hotel staff in there.'"

Wonder what the reaction would be if it was Dick Cheney speaking to the RNC???

My reaction, it's nothing; most hotel stafffs are made up of people of color. But you won't see Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton calling for the resignation of Dr. Dean; like they have so many other times with so many other people's innocuous comments.

Those two idiots have taken the real racial problems in this country and have turned them into a mockery because of their petty, political , and profitable agendas.

Judi Noe Pleads Out

For those of you new to my site, several months ago I posted an extremely sad story involving Brieana Noe who died at the hands of her mother in order to prevent the father from getting custody.

A Custody Dispute Beyond the Norm
Update on Brieana Noe
Update on Judi Noe

Brieana's grandmother has posted here several times along with some of Judi's supporters (who the hell would "support" a @#*&^#@@ babykiller is beyond me) and just recently put up a comment that Judi reached an agreement with the district attorney's office to serve two to eight years in jail for murdering her daughter.

Derek and I a long time ago bantered about plea bargains and how they might ursurp the justice system. While I do think plea bargains are a necessity in this system, I also think in this case two to eight years for murdering a child is beyond ridiculous. Of course they are saying she had a "brief psychotic episode"; but why didn't she end up "episoding" herself once she saw she murdered her daughter and let her sit for two days in the bathroom.

If anything, the next person who runs for Prosecuting Attorney in Allen County is going to have some fodder to use again the one in office.

Music, Music, I Hear Music...

BTW, the title is a cryptic reference...

There's something to be said to working with the right people. Most of you know about my abortive attempts to find a band to play with and of course the fired, not fired, then fired again saga that happened last year. Now with a new year in place, some more freetime from the wifey, and some support from the little ones; I've been able to hook up with another band a hell of alot closer to my house. The lead singer is in the process of putting up a website, which I'll obviously link to when it's done.

Update on Judi Noe

Judi's lawyer changed her plea to "Guilty by Reason of Insanity" today in court. No major shock here.
