Got news for you guys, it's not a sale unless the prices are actually lower than they were the previous day, or even the previous week or month or anything else.
Nothing better than spending a nice Sunday afternoon with one of the kiddies a Bears victory (especially when the Bears accoring to all the analysts on ESPN said they would lose badly).

More pictures can be found here.
Well, knownst to some but not all, the wifey and I are getting away for the weekend without the kids, dogs, or work to bother us. Right now, I'm sitting in Detroit Metro airport which has apparently been upgraded since the last time I was here (the last time I was here it looked remarkably like a emergency room waiting area).
Northworst hasn't been as bad as I've experienced before. Although I'm starting to have some concerns as there is a guy on our flight who I could only describe as "unmedicated schitzophrenic" who is meandering around the gate.
And for those of you who might care (all one of you), the wifey and I are heading to Baltimore's Inner Harbor area for the weekend. See you on Monday!
A follow up to today's payroll whine....
According to my payroll department, this is not a problem. They fax the bank something and all is well. Except when it comes to my bank who apparently only runs their ACH transactions only once a day. According to payroll, this is the only bank they have run into in recent memory that does this. So now, I get to wait until Monday.
Can anyone recommend a decent bank or credit union that has a clue?
The only thing that really happens in Fort Wayne during the Winter time are pot holes and Komets hockey. For those of you who don't know, the Komets are our minor league hockey franchise, and a pretty successful one at that.
So for the last couple of years, after the expansion of the Coliseum, I've been toying around with the idea of "Gee, we should just get the entire family together, rent a suite, and enjoy a game with our family and friends". Well, the contracts are on the way for our suite and considering the price for 16 people, it's worth every penny.
Because tomorrow is Veterans Day and the banks will be closed and it's a Federal Holiday, I won't be receiving my paycheck tomorrow. My bank, when called, doesn't seem to give a shit about the whole thing. Their comment was essentially "Deal with it". My employer has yet to return my phonecall. Basically, I've been told to deal with it and get paid Monday.
Except this weekend, the wifey and I are going away on holiday.
So as far as cash is concerned, there's a bit but not much. I've got the AmEx, so I'll just abuse it and get my miles and pay them off on Tuesday after I get paid.
You would think the banks, with their automated systems for processing would realize "Shit, it's a Friday and most people get their paychecks now-a-days via Direct Deposit, maybe we should talk about doing something". But alas, as the nice person at my "soon to be former bank told me", I should just deal with it.
And no, I'm not going to leave a bank over something they have no control over. I'm going to leave because they are a bunch of arrogant pricks when I call about basic questions.
Not only did a get up late, but now I find out that my classmate from 20 years ago's band is opening for the mighty King's X in a few weeks.
To the Kolmar Krew, it's Servet's band and I'm seriously contemplating making a trip out to see the show since I can't catch KX as they blaze through the country this year.
Thankfully these two will no longer be able to produce anymore children.
When you have that urge to lend a car to someone, entrusting them with several thousand dollars of your money, resist the urge and keep the keys in your pocket.
My former foster son destroyed my 1999 (Nothing Wrong With It) Honda Civic by racing it so damn hard that he screwed one of the connecting rods. How can it be fixed? New engine: $2,000.00. The car is worth slightly more, so I get to sit here and wonder if it's really worth it.
@#*$^@#^ kids.....
Teddi Bruschi is Amazing. Apparently this was recorded during a commerical break during Sunday night's Bills/Patriots game.
